Can We Treat Hair Loss and Thinning Hair?
One of the most frustrating things we need to bear is hair loss or thinning hair. If clumps of hair had to fall off every now and then with each shower, it could be crippling to note that. Thankfully there are ways this could be put to a stop and we will see how to stop hair loss and to prevent thinning hair in just a moment.
1. Try to determine why this happens: Obvious, but often underestimated. Hair loss can happen due to excessive stress, extreme lifestyle habits or sudden changes in lifestyle, diet, conditions at work, lack of hygene and a lot more. The reasons are hard to pin-point just by sitting down and introspecting; it is best when done with the help of a doctor. Try to ascertain the root of the problem and then make the necessary moves to surmount the problem.
2. You are spoilt for choices: Cosmetics, hair care and beauty products industry is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. You literally have thousands and thousands of products to pick the best ones from. It helps when you take help from hair care experts and then do shopping. You even have the choice of picking your products off online retailers like amazon, salonhive, etc.
3. Not all products are created equal, though: You are the best judge when it comes to determining what fits you and what works for you. There are special conditioners and shamoo that can help; some products are specially desinged for female hair loss and to help you combat the very problem you are suffering from. However, exercise caution while picking up products since some of them might not react very well and can cause side-effects. How to Apply False Eyelashes
March 26, 2009 by Jennifer · Leave a Comment
Nothing frames your baby blues or draws more attention to your gorgeousness than beautiful, lush lashes. False eyelashes are such a great way to dress up your eyes for a fun night out (or, well, a fun night in). Here’s how to attach your falsies properly:
First, hold the strip of lashes up to your eye to gauge the length you’ll need. If the strip you have is too long, trim it with scissors.
Dot your glue along the bottom edge of the lash. Try to avoid overdoing it - too much is going to make the strip stick to your own lashes - which is not what you want. You want the strip to stick to your lid. When the glue is ready, line up the lashes along the edge of your eyelid. Use your index fingers to press the lash into the inner and outer corner of your eye. Hold it there firmly for a few seconds to give the glue time to fix.
To finish up your look, swipe on a little mascara so that your own lashes get combed into the fake ones and create a more seamless effect. Hide the edges of the false lashes even further by lining your eyes carefully with a black pencil or shadow. And voila! Fab, fluttery lashes!
How Stress Leads to Hair Loss and Greying?
March 21, 2009 by ashwin · Leave a Comment
Our bodies are remarkable, in the sense that the cause-effect dichotomy is rather strongly related. Stress has a direct consequence on the condition of your hair. Hair can be affected in two ways due to increased stress lelevs -- short-term wherein hair fall is experienced but it would be taken care of naturually, and then long-term effects of stress which lead to permanent hair loss and also graying in some instances. The American President Barrack Obama is seen from hair graying due to prolonged stress -- this was the ever since he started campiagning for the presidency.
Increased Incidence of stress has always been known to be a cause for baldness in men and rapid hair loss in women. Diet, type of places exposed to, lifestyle specific elements and a lot of other reasons add up the problem at hand.
Factors Causing Premature Ageing of Hair
Apart from stress by itself, there are other things that add to the problem like the quality of water, type of diet, acting of strong chemicals, signs of illnes; excessive use of bleaching chemicals, etc., all lead to hair damage.
Acne? Blame the recession!
March 19, 2009 by Jennifer · Leave a Comment
A recent AP story reports that adult acne is way up due to the economic recession. "Stress is a leading cause of breakouts, and there's no shortage of that these days,” the story says. The dermatologists cited reported fewer Botox injections and liposuction surgeries (typically elective procedures) these days, but said that treatments of adult acne have become more popular than ever. Patients with warts and eczema flare-ups are also heading to doctors’ offices these days.

According to studies, stress exacerbates acne first by stimulating adrenal glands to produce excess hormones, and second, by impeding the healing of your spots. Doctors’ main piece of advice? Same as your mother’s: DON’T PICK AT IT.

Lindsay reportedly worked with her very own tanning expert, Lorit Simon, to develop the spray-on mist. Like other self-tanners, DHA is the main active ingredient. Other ingredients include gogi berry and Chardonnay extracts. Tasty! The spray will be available in selected stores April 15th.
And if you don't like the way your tan turns out, I'm sure Lindsay would be happy to sell you a pair of her leggings.

RevitaLash: It’s a Miracle!
March 13, 2009 by Jennifer · Leave a Comment
Three words: This stuff works.
I probably would not have purchased RevitaLash were it not for my mother’s rave reviews. “My lashes are so long they’re hitting the inside of my sunglasses!” she enthused. Still, I balked. My eyelashes were… fine. But she gave me the RevitaLash for my birthday last year and seriously, it really does work. The applicator is a thin brush, and you apply the solution to the roots of your lashes (upper and lower) like liquid eyeliner, before bed. The small tube goes a long way. In about a month I noticed a difference. At first I noticed was how some of my eyelashes were going all wonky, pointing randomly this way and that, and then I realized that they were being crazy because there were so many more of them! My eyelashes were truly thicker than they had been before the RevitaLash. I’m a believer!
